Peter Ayodele Fayose is the current Governor of Ekiti State. he was born on November 15, 1960. a native of Afo Ekiti in Irepodun/Ifelodun Local
Government Area of Ekiti State.
He grew up in Ibadan, Oyo State and attended Saint Leo’s Catholic Primary School, Ibadan, and obtained his WAEC from Olivet Baptist High School, Oyo, in the year 1979.

He
ran a two-years Ordinary National Diploma (OND) program in Science Laboratory
Technology at Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro in Around 1984.
He furthered his Diploma program and
obtained a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Biological Sciences from the same
Polytechnic in Ibadan.
He was governor from 29 May 2003 to 16 October 2006, but was eventually impeached
He was the PDP flag bearer in the 2014 Governorship election in Ekiti State slated for 21 June 2014.
He won the election and was declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission as the new Governor, Ekiti State; and was inaugurated on 16 Oct 2014. Fayose also extended to working with Fayemi so as to ensure peace.
He is married to Feyisetan Fayose
